Hello, I'm Nina! I've been babysitting since I was 13 years old and I'm currently 21 years old. I started working more formally with children when I volunteered as a classroom aid for students with developmental and intellectual differences at the ARC of essex county (Roseland, NJ). While I was there, I worked with kids ages 3-9. Also, I worked in a smaller setting (an outpatient Occupational therapy office) for about a year. Currently, I'm finishing my third year in college where I'm studying to be an occupational therapist and have had multiple courses dedicated to pediatrics. I have worked as a camp counselor for two summers straight with children ages 4-7 and I was a nanny/health-aid for a family who had two children with Cerebral Palsy. Over winter break I worked at the CTC Academy in Fairlawn, NJ that works with children ages 3-8 who have Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Read more Down Syndrome and other related conditions; and I started a job at a local preschool. Personally, I am a compassionate, driven, optimistic and calm. Lastly, coming from an OT background and my childcare experiences I like to be creative and engaging to meet each kid's individuality.
