I am a senior in the 5-year Special Education Program at The College of New Jersey. - 1:1 Camp Counselor to children ages 7, 12, and 14 for three years at an overnight camp for children with complex intellectual disabilities. -Sophomore Field Experience: taught in a 2nd gradeco-taught ICS classroom for the fall semester once a week. - Junior Field Experience: taught in a 4th grade co-taught ICS classroom for the fall semester once a week. -Babysitting a 12 year old boy with autism and his 11 year old neurotypical sister for a year, before they hired a full time nanny. -Studied abroad in Ghana where we volunteered at a school for Autism. We conducted functional behavioral assessments on the students at the school and suggested behavioral interventions. - Academic/Life Skills Coach to adults with intellectual disabilities who attend TCNJ (3 years)
