Dear Family, I have been a child care giver since the age of 15, when I began sitting for family and friends. Providing care at a younger age has taught me immensely about this profession. However, my experiences working as a live in au pair in Spain and nannying for two families throughout my university career are the ones that have made me the highly qualified nanny I am today. As a nanny, It is imperative to make yourself approachable to kids by being highly engaged in activities that allow both creativity and education to be incorporated. I make sure to give my undivided attention to kids and implement arts and crafts, reading, outdoor activities to parks, museums, as well as organizing playdates. On a more personal level, I was born in Minnesota though raised in Nebraska. I hold a BA in International Relations and Spanish from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln. As stated above I have lived in Spain for two years and have traveled to many countries all over the world which has allowed me to adapt easily to new cultures and customs. I have a strong passion for holistic nutrition, fitness and sports and try to encourage these in children and those are around me. Personally, I am flexible, motivated and an ambitious person. Attributes like professionalism and diplomacy means a lot to me, as well as working in a respectful and good atmosphere. I am ready to find a family long term and assist in maintaining a smooth running household while also providing children the attention and care needed to excel at their highest potential.
