Hi, my name is Madeline Hawthorne and I am a freshman at Tulane University in New Orleans. I am returning to the West Monroe area for the summer and would love to help you while I am home. I have been babysitting since I was in middle school, and I absolutely love kids. I have experience with ages 0-13, including children with disabilities. I was an athletic trainer in high school (I went to West Monroe High School), which means I have training in CPR (including infant), and first aid. Last summer I had an internship at Cypress Grove Behavioral Health (a pediatric psychiatric facility) and I was also involved in Junior Civitans in high school. Both of these organizations allowed me to spend a lot of time with children with disabilities. My father is also disabled and while I am not his primary caretaker due to school, I have a lot of experience in adult care because of it. I currently have two dogs, but I have also had cats, fish, a guinea pig, and even a squirrel. Despite my mother's protests, I had a habit of bringing home strays and keeping them until I could find a good home for them. I would love to meet you to see if I would be a good fit for your family!
