Hello, my name is Sofiya. I am 21 years of age. I was born in Ukraine but grew up here in Washington from the age of 7. I am fluent in both English and Ukrainian, and know Russian fairly well too. I have been working I a licensed child care center for the past 3 years, and in early childhood education since I was 18. I have my early childhood education certifications, current first aid and CPR cards as well as a current food handlers card. This past summer i took another class specializing in infant/toddler development, and have been a toddler teacher for the past 2 years. I love working with children, and enjoyed working at the child care center, but decided to look into being a nanny so that I can be with my daughter more. With this being the only reason I am leaving my current job, Read more I would need to bring my daughter with me. She is a very happy, easygoing 6 month old. Your child will get a chance to socialize and basically have a play date every day! I will still be able to provide great care for your little one(s) as well, since I have plenty of experience working in a child care center with 1:4 teacher/child ratios. I have worked in the infant and toddler room alone with 4 children and had no problems providing to each child’s needs. I am very flexible with the needs of your family and child(ren). I can take them on walks, provide developmentally age appropriate educational activities to them, in addition to providing basic care. I am looking for a full time position, preferably during the week, but I am flexible with whatever hours you may need childcare. Don’t hesitate to ask any questions!
