In High School I helped watch my cousins and held two sitting jobs for families in our neighborhood. While I have not had much experience specifically in babysitting and nannying since then, I have had ample experience working with children. I served as a missionary in a Catholic school teaching theology classes for 7th-12th grade students. I have also worked for the past 5 years with girls and young women in Ministry. I have led many day and overnight retreats for girls 6-9. 9-12, 12-14, 14-18, and 18+ and wrote group material to be worked through with these age groups. One of my greatest strengths working with children is keeping them entertained. Games are one of my great strong suits, along with crafts. Whenever we have events for families at the retreat center where I have spent the past years working, I am always asked to help with activities for Read more the children and for the families and children to do together. I find that I would be very qualified because babysitting is not just about watching children, but helping in their formation and development. My guiding idea when working with children is always to help them grow into strong, free, and joyful personalities.
