Meet Maegen

• Comfortable with pets

I knew that I loved caring for children since my little sister was born. From day one I would step up and help care for her. As I got older, I began helping in the nursery in my home church. When I was in high school, I got a job babysitting a 9 and 13 year old brother and sister and cared for their dog during my time in the home as well. It was in high school that I decided I wanted to go to a university for Education. I was so passionate about having an impact on children's lives, and have always greatly enjoyed art, so I knew that an art classroom was where I belonged. I am now in my 3rd year of college at Western Carolina University and my love for children continues to grow all the more. Outside of my baby sitting experience I have Read more educational experience as well. I have led classrooms with anywhere from Kindergarten to 8th grade level students. I love to engage with the children I see, and find myself creating crafts along side those who I have babysat or taught, singing along to movies, creating meals together, and enjoying time outside. I also enjoy cooking, I leave things cleaner than I found them, and I appreciate the bond I create with children and their families greater than my pay. To me it is rewarding to be able to offer a family peace of mind while they work or catch up on personal relationships, and to create lasting memories with kids and ensure they never see time with the babysitter as a boring or sad time!
