Hi, my name is Kennedy, and I am here to help you! I have two years of experience working in childcare for children ages 6 weeks to 24 months. I have a Mississippi fingerprint clearance, which allows me to work in daycares and with children. Prior to my daycare experience, I learned the old-fashioned way, babysitting! I grew up in a big family, I am the last of 7, and the aunt to 14 nieces and nephews! I began babysitting around age 13, and babysat through most of my childhood summers, spring, and Christmas breaks, as well as many weekends to help my siblings. I still watch them now, so my experience truly ranges from ages 0 and up! From this, I learned to see through a child's perspective and understand their frustrations so I can help them work through their emotions. As a result, we create a compromised solution, Read more so everyone is happy, safe, and (hopefully) mess free! In shorter terms, I provide gentle emotional and behavioral guidance. I am able to provide help with sports, homework, cleaning, transportation, etc. I am also able to implement lifestyle choices set by parents, such as daily routines, outside activities, educational activities, meal plans, reinforce screen time, and anything to keep the child's environment fulfilling, nurturing, and comfortable. I believe in a professional but friendly relationship with parents as well. I will be available at all times and send picture updates throughout the day. Any small chores you need done throughout the day such as laundry, feeding and taking pets outside, prepping dinner, etc. I am happy to accommodate. I can also be forgiving with time; I will come 1 hour earlier than planned with at least a 3-hour notice and stay late 1 hour as needed, as long as I have no prior engagement that cannot be rescheduled. I have a time limit of 10 hours per day. I look forward to working with you and I will be available beginning August 20th, 2020.
