We are an inclusive family where love knows no boundaries, seeking an extra pair of hands and a calming presence during after-school hours (4-7 PM) and some weekends! Our ideal matches are compassionate and open-minded individuals who can join our diverse household, where every member is valued for who they are. Our three adopted children, aged 6, 8, and 9, are former foster youth with unique needs. We also have two friendly cats named Griffie and Marco.
Our kids, aged 6, 8, and 9, are former foster youth and have ADHD, attachment issues, and impulse control challenges. We value caregivers who remain regulated, use redirection strategies, and adjust caregiving based on the kids' state. Strict disciplinarians won't be a good fit. We value open communication and a parent will be available in home or by phone for quick communication about any behavioral concerns if needed.
Qualifications: 2+ years of experience, Covid-vaccinated, CPR/First Aid certification, safe driving record, reliable vehicle, and glowing references from recent childcare positions.
Preferred Qualities: Trauma-informed, familiar with neurodiverse kids, active, emotionally intelligent, experience working with foster children.
Schedule: M-F After-School (4-7 PM) and some weekends
Pay: $33-35+ an hour
