Our kids are 4, 6, and 13. I would describe them as independent and able to take care of themselves and each other with some guidance. Mom and dad both work and mom has to travel a bunch for work at times.
In a nutshell, we need someone to pick the kids up from the school bus, feed snacks, transport to activities, feed dinner. We usually meal prep so the amount of actual cooking will be minimal. No cleaning unless you feel like it. It’s mostly about getting the kids from A to B as they have activities after school and making sure they bring everything the need for it.
The bus gets there around 3:40 every day. The activities are anywhere from 5:00 - 6:30 or so. Mo/Tu/Th the two younger ones go to Jiu Jitzu, it’s 3 minutes from the house and ideally you can stay there and wait until it’s over. The older one has tennis on Tue, that is a couple of minutes down the road from Jiu Jitzu. Wednesday the little ones go to religion and the older one goes later that evening to the same. All in all things are pretty close!
