I have been babysitting for over 10 years, from familymembers, to people at church, and people that just heard that I am good with children at all ages. while attending ftcc I took early childhood education classes so that I could work at a daycare, but I ended up transferring to nccu in durham and changed my major to nursing. I want to be a pediatric nurse because I love working with children. I have worked at a children’s restaurant for a year. I did the parties and I was the one in the costume suit. I love seeing the kids smile on their birthday, even though some cry because they are scared, but that smile just brightens up my day. I also work at a children’s clothing store and I like to entertain them when they come into the store because some come in crying or they even might get in trouble while in the store. I am friendly, kind, funny, outgoing, sporty, and I just love playing with kids, that is my passion. I have watched kids from newborn up to age 12. i’ve helped with homework when needed, played outside when they wanted to. I usually try to set up arts and crafts just to keep them busy such as painting, coloring, or pasting. I also did educational work during the summer to keep their mind flowing so they will not forget what they learned throughout the school year. while living in fayetteville I was a nanny for 3 families all coming from care.com. ranging from 5 months to 10 years old. with one of my families one the weekend I would be a live in nanny while the mother would go on business trips.
