Description

When “good enough” just isn’t for your family then look to the safety and value of a TRAINED and Certified Pet Care Technician. I am a career paid pet care professional with 17 years as the Manager of Choices Pet Sitters who has a yearly background check through AcuTraq. I was  a Top Five Finalist in Pet Sitters International’s 2021 Pet Sitter of the Year Award and have Certificates of Completion from courses like Dog Trainer Foundations (Karen Pryor Academy), Risk Assessment & Safely Handling Multiple Dogs (Doggone Safe), Bite Prevention (Fetchfind), Understanding the Cat (VetFolio), Fear Free® Avian, and more all of which I can show you in the professional portfolio I will bring to our first meeting.

I cover a 5-7 mile driving range along and around the intersection of Hwy 515 and Hwy 53 in Pickens County, Georgia and work as a pet care provider full-time.

Individualized pet care has been my passion for many years. I was raised with dogs, cats, hamsters, ducks, turtles, Bettas, a freshwater fish tank, and a horse while growing up in my parent’s home. I even raised Grand Champion White Leghorn chickens in 4-H! But unlike most hobby pet sitters I don’t count these years as part of my experience. Those years are just an added bonus because I know that pets in my home behave differently than your pets. I know this because I have been in hundreds of homes and have experienced animal behavior first-hand. Studies in basic human and animal psychology, a calm patient demeanor, and many years of experience with the human-animal bond in various environments help me predict your pet’s behavior to keep them safe. With my training and experience, I can provide the most relevant care possible for each pet’s age, breed, and temperament. If you have other pets, don’t worry. My professional pet care doesn’t stop at dogs! I have been paid to care for cats, pocket pets, mini-farms, and other non-traditional pets for over 17 years. The value-added service I provide comes with ongoing years of professional membership in many industry-specific Pet Associations that teach me how to read canine body language to keep your pets (and myself) safe, and how to be proactive to avoid risks.  Even with these credentials, my pet care rates are comparable to those inexperienced pet sitters who try to compete with no training or insurance. Exceptional customer service and pet care safety are my main goals!.

Feel free to contact me for a professional Meet and Greet Consultation to discuss your pet care needs. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
