For 50 years I have been watching over children. it started with my siblings, 9 in all. my mother was an opera singer studying with roberta nathan. she and my father started to have problems while she was studying and that resulted in her quitting opera study and later a divorce. at that time, my mother needed help so I stepped in, washing clothes, cleaning, cooking and changing diapers for my younger siblings.
a few years later when I was 11, she became ill and had to be hospitalized, so I took 6 months off from school, did my assignments from home, and ran the house. ever since, I realized taking care of children was a gift. my own children are all grown up, single and living on their own. watching over children full-time was a happy time for me. when I later started working in accounting, I continued maintaining my nanny work part-time.
being a nanny full-time is much more fulfilling to me. children bring joy to the world and I want to always do my part in helping to bring out the best in whatever children I am around.
my strengths are in helping children to manage time away from their parents, while not interfering with the parental bond that is so important to children and their parents. there is a delicate balance between the nanny, the children and the parents and I feel that the nanny should do all in his or her power to keep a healthy balance while looking over children.
given my experience and capabilities, my skills would be a great addition to any family. it would be my pleasure to extend my dedication and knowledge.
