I am a professional daycare provider looking to work as a full-time nanny. I am currently working as an infant teacher. I have been working in this current position for ten months. I also was previously a toddler teacher were I worked for a year and also worked as a support teacher too. I have worked in the childcare field for over two and a half years with children age ranged from infancy to school ages.
i am currently of aware of child development and have done self-study to learn about each stage of how infants and toddler develop. I also am aware of the developmental screening process and what signs to look for if concerned about any developmental delays.
working in this field has shown me the importance of providing exceptional care to all children and to their families. I want to continue to work with families but in a small ratio setting so that the care given can be geared toward each individual child opposed to a group of children.
along with my self-study, I have also recently attended national nanny training day 2014where I took classes and received a certificate on the following classes: newborn and infant care basics, nutrition 101, craft essentials, healthcare changes and how they impact you, sign language and nanny taxes and employment issues.
along with my nanny training certificate I am currently taking an in-service infant and toddler certificate program, which will be completed within weeks. I have my infant cpr cards. I am a member of international nanny association (ina), which offers training, resources for nannies and resources for families.
after completing my infant/toddler certificate program I want to continue on through my education by obtaining my associates and bachelors degree in early childhood education. my mission is to continue to learn and educate myself in this field and to become an educator, not only to infants and toddlers, but also to parents, to my peers and family. and I also want to build great partnerships to last a lifetime.
