my name is laurel brown and I am 20 years old. I have been babysitting for about 10 years now. I started young! the first family I cared for had a daughter about 10 months old. she turned 10 this year! her younger sister came along about 7 years ago and I cared for them as a date night sitter, overnight sitter while their mother led a camp session as well as mother’s helper when they were infants joining her at work. it has been an amazing experience being a part of their lives for so long. their mother was the family minister at my childhood church, so I was always helping lead vbs groups as well.

my family moved a little too far away for me to continue care of them, but I soon found many other families in our new neighborhood. I have cared for twins, and families with up to 5 children. I am the oldest of 5 myself, so I have experience caring for children of all ages. I am most comfortable with infants and toddlers, but have found that I can get along with kids from every age group easily.

i have provided transportation and weekend supervision for tween/teens, overnight care ranging from 2 days to 10 days, as well as weekly late night care. I even have experience with pet sitting! I have a dog and cat of my own!
i have previously been trained and certified in infant cpr and am working on being re-certified and being trained in first aid.

i was originally a nursing major, but after some soul searching realized that elementary education is where my heart is. as I save up to return to school, I hope to continue my education with even more hands on experience.
i currently live in san antonio right near fort sam houston, but will be moving out 35 in september (cibolo/schertz/nb area) and will gladly commute until then. I would be more than happy to talk on the phone/facetime/skype or even meet at starbucks to be introduced! I will gladly answer any questions you might have.
