hello! my name is chelsey and I would love to care for your child. let me tell you a little about myself and my family. I am 21 years old and have a 3 month old baby boy. I live with boyfriend (also the father on my son, since so many people ask that question) in west columbia-about halfway between the airport and redbank. currently, my boyfriend is working part-time on a mixed schedule, so some days he will be home. he likes to babysit with me on his days off, which the kids always love! as of right now, I do not have a job and am only looking to do childcare, so I will be available anytime. we do not have any pets, but do not mind them. I do enjoy day-trips and go quite often. we go to the river walk, the columbiana mall(with the play area), finlay park, other parks, zoo, edventure, richland county library, splash pad, and we are up for just about any place, within reason. if your child is more of the indoor type of kid, we also have video games, movies, crafts, music, computers, and can have books and learning materials. we are pretty fun and flexible.

i have a lot of experience in childcare:

-i was a live-in nanny for 9 months for an exciting little 2 year old boy, and his newborn sister for a few short months. I still babysit them from time to time.
-i have been helping out a boyscout troop for about 2 years now.
-i volunteered in a kindergarten classroom for 5 years. one of those years I was greatly honored with the ‘volunteer of the year’ award. I still have close ties with the school.
-i worked in a daycare for 3 summers with children aged newborn-11 years old.
-i started babysitting at 8 years old for family and friends.
-i have experience with all different types of children and personalities.
-i know asl sign language and enough spanish to communicate and am trying to learn more.

i am willing to have a drug screen and background check and to get cpr and first aid certified at your expense. (sorry, times are hard, I cannot afford it.)

i have wonderful references that are available upon request.

-i charge $100 weekly per child for full-time permanent and seasonal. most meals can be provided as long as the child isn’t too picky or have a super strict diet. parents will also be responsible for paying for day trip admission for their children, this can be paid on each day, beforehand, or on a weekly/biweekly tab to be paid with the rest of the money.
-i charge $30 a day per child part time.
-i charge $8-$12 an hour for date nights, emergency, and drop in sittings, I never charge over $60 for one single sitting.
-if I watch your child and you refer someone to me, and they use me, I will cut you discounts.
-i am looking to watch 1-4 children, depending on what age groups I get. I will consider watching newborns, but because my baby is only 3 months old, I prefer to have babies at least 6 months old.
-i interview/meet up in public places before inviting anyone to my home, so please do not expect a tour of my home right away.
-i will also pet sit, house sit, and do pet daycare/boarding. I cannot have cats due to my pretty severe cat allergy. rates for pets will be discussed.

if you would rather someone watch your child in your home, I can do that too, but I will need to charge more since I will losing the option to take in another child (except evening babysittings)
