Hello! I currently am a substitute in the Mustang PS district (so far 2 years in and loving it!) Right before I became a substitute, I was working in childcare for 17 years. I was a Master Teacher (Certificate of Mastery in Child Development from Redlands CC) and worked long term at the last 2 facility I was employed with. 8 years at last facility (and was a private nanny for after school and evenings for 3 years while employed here to a little girl who was mild special needs), 5 years the facility before (obtained my COM from Redlands CC while employed here) The 4 years before that, I worked 6 months- 9 months at several other facilities until I found my ‘fit’. I am looking to sit for some littles with my 15 1/2 year old daughter who wants to become a long term sitter or nanny for a family. She is going to apply at a few facilities when she turns 16, having been around my classes in childcare and being a helper since she was 5, she would make an amazing childcare teacher! I recently suggested she be a long term sitter or nanny and she lit up with the idea. So if you are a family looking for a either type of care for your littles, and don’t mind she tag along ( kinda like training) we/she would love to get the opportunity to meet you and yours!
