~support your children’s emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts
~provide creative, educational activities such as reading to/with children and teaching them simple painting, drawing, handicrafts, and songs
~offer homework help
~discipline and instruct children consistently in order to manage behavior, such as caring for own clothing and picking up toys and books
~sanitize dishes, toys, and play equipment
~prepare, serve, and clean up nutritious snacks and meals, or formula/bottles
~be aware and cautious regarding known allergies
~instruct and aid children in health and personal habits, such as eating, resting, and toilet habits
~place or hoist young children into baths, pools, and cribs
~help dress young children and change diapers
~perform light housekeeping
~communicate with children’s parents/guardians about daily activities, behaviors, and related matters
~act as a consistently punctual, responsible, diligent, energized, and trustworthy caregiver
