I am a licensed mental health and substance abuse counselor specializing in experiential therapy interventions. having the opportunity to work with some very special needs individuals and in some intense inpatient facilities has brought a great sense of purpose and fulfillment to my life. i’ve been blessed with the opportunity to touch so many lives and be a part of something greater than myself.

all that being true… I have been thinking for a few years now that I would like to work as a nanny. by working as a nanny, it is my hope that I will have the chance to participate in offering a service of benefit to a family that is offering a nurturing loving environment for their children and might possibly also benefit from the knowledge, skills, and experience I have developed during my career as a therapist. it is not my intent to work as a therapist in the home and I am aware of the need to maintain professional boundaries. I have experience working with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, neurobehavioral challenges and neurodevelopmental disorders, rad, fasd and other substance effected children, disruptive behavior disorder, depression, anxiety, and other common childhood disorders.

perhaps most importantly, I am the mother of an absolutely amazing 17-year-old daughter who is a senior in high school and preparing for college. the happiest year of my life was the year I was able to stay home and care for her and the home.

i have been cleared by both the federal juvenile justice system and cyfd to work with children. I have a basic background check via this site if you are interested.
