Need some extra help watching your children on date nights, school vacations, summer sports, summer camp, working and need someone to watch your child(ren)? well you clicked on the right person! my name is gabrielle barto and I am 18 years old (going to be 19 at the end of july) and adore children. I am a high school graduate from concord high school and have taken two semesters at nhti. I am currently working part time at applebee’s in concord on loudon road and have decided to take a year off of college to figure out which career path to take. I grew up and live in concord nh my whole life and have always been around children. I have babysat my cousins, twin girls at the age of 7 years old and a boy at the age of 11 years old. I have also babysat for two other families, both of whom are family friends. one of the families was a single mom with a daughter age 7 (at the time) and a son age 9 (at the time). both of her children were energetic and loved video games as well as the outdoors. I would go to their house around 8:00 in the morning and stayed until 1:00 maybe 2:00 in the afternoon. I have taken the children in the summer to our local park to play and swim. I would pack a bag of snacks, drinks, towels, goggles, and most importantly sunscreen! we would stay until they were ready to leave or if the pool closed for a lunch break. I have also stayed over a few times, maybe more when their mother wanted a night out, I would prepare dinner (usually leftovers) and watch a show while we ate (i always let the kids choose, unless they starting arguing on which one to watch!). they would go to bed on the weekends at around 9:30/10:00, depending on how tired they were. sometimes they would want me to stay over just for fun and maybe watch a movie or play just dance. the children and I grew a bond and the boy confided in me and asked my advice about a problem he had at school. the other family friend I babysat for was a married couple with four children. I have mostly watched just two of their children, a girl at the age 9 (the oldest) and the baby boy at the age of 18 months. I would watch them from 3:00/3:30 in the afternoon until 6:00/7:00 at night. we would play and watch some tv and play with chalk outside. they also had a dog who I would put on the outside leash to get some fresh air and walk him through the yard to go to the bathroom. I would give their daughter snacks and I would put their baby down for a nap and feed him baby food (i had to learn fast how to be ready quick for when he finished a bite because if I wasn’t ready for the next he would cry, like all babies). I have babysat all four of her children ages 9 years old, 7 years old, 5 years old and 18 months old. I manage to keep them all entertained until their father came home from work, including the dog. I would wash and dry dishes with the willing help from the oldest daughter and sometimes helped their father with dinner. I only watched all four of their children a few times but I am confident about how those nights turned out.
