My name is quianna (key-ana) and most recently, I was a kindergarten teacher during the 2013-2014 school year for a dps charter school. prior to that I taught fourth grade social studies and before that I taught preschool, pre-k and facilitated childcare in denver as well as vail colorado.

i have a ba in sociology from regis university and an aa in early child development with a back ground in social work and I am infant/toddler cpr certified.

i have a three month old and have decided to stay at home, but am desperately missing putting my education and skills to good use. I would love to educate and care for one or two children based reggio emilia philosophy. this method of teaching is play based and pointedly engages fine motor and gross motor skills as well as auditory, visual and tactile senses; all while incorporating the fundamental basics of colors, letters, numbers and of course lots of reading!i also incorporate spanish vocabulary into every learning arena!

i am located downtown with easy walk-able access to riverside park, but there is also no lack of gross motor opportunity on the immediate property. in my building there is an indoor recreational space as well as a heated 5th floor exercise lap that circles the building. the premises also provides a basketball court and racket ball room.

every day parents will be provided with a report card of their child’s activities as well as food consumption and bathroom business( if applicable).
