my name is iwona and I come from poland. I am 21 years old. between 2010-2012 I was studying and worked for joanna morawska as a babysitter. after I came to usa I had worked as an au pair for kauffman family for 1 year. they live in littleton, (colorado).i took care of oliver ( 12 years old) and fraternal twins harry and spencer(10 years old).we enjoyed spending time together. we all liked boating, water skiing, biking, hiking, swimming, and museums ,especially one of natural and science in denver.i had some other duties except watching the kids like helping out with cleaning, doing a laundry, preparing meals, vacuuming, feeding our cat and so on.
i don’t imagine myself in the other job than babysitting. why ?most of all I love play with the kids. besides that I am a very active person and love to spend time outside. I am a very good driver as well ( 3 years experiences of driving in the big city within 4 seasons(include winter). when it comes to my personality I have a very sensitive soul.i like taking part in cultural activities of all sorts – theater, art galleries, exhibitions and performances. in my understanding , having a babysitter from another country is the best way to show your kids that there are so many cultures and nationalities in the world !! .the kids which I used to take care of enjoyed the cultural aspect and the were really open-minded .they can count to ten by polish and also they know the basic polish words !i
when it comes to my philosophy about parenting I believe that every child is an individual who has his/her own needs. our role as parents, teachers, nannies is to treat every child with respect he or she deserves. I believe corporal punishment is absolutely unacceptable and people who do it to their children should be punished. our role as parents and society in general is to teach our children good values and support them every day on their way of development. recently i’ve been reading a lot on the subject of ‘the continuum concept’ and ‘non verbal communication’ and I believe each approach is very valuable and places the child’s needs in the first place. hopefully you enjoyed reading my application.
