Hello everybody,

My name is Aileen and I am 25 years old. I have been an au pair (live-in nanny) with two wonderful families for 2 years.
I have also worked as a babysitter for more than 8 years, in kindergarten as a caregiver, but also for many years as a supervisor at children’s holiday camps. I have also tutored children in German, English, Mathematics, and other subjects.

In my first year as an Au Pair, I lived with a family with 4 children (6, 14, 16, and 18). I mainly took care of the 6-year-old, as the others were already very independent.
The little 6-year-old girl has special needs – a unique type of ataxia cerebellar (involves poor muscle control and speech/language disorder), while the 14-year-old has ADHD. Since I am a very patient, outgoing person who learns very quickly, it was very easy to adapt to her needs and the structure of her daily life.
In my second family, I took care of a 2.5-year-old boy who was very adventurous and emotional.

I am a very creative person who always comes up with something to do next with the kids to keep them busy. There is so much to learn, have fun and explore the world. I enjoy dynamic activities that keep them involved and active, such as arts and crafts, painting, drawing, and reading stories.
