I have patience and understanding. Majoring in psychology has helped me find the best way to help others, I can find a way that relates to the person which will help them learn and understand.
I've tutored off and on for years and truly found my passion when I began teaching Sociology at Wilmington University. I teach classes on Cultural Anthropology, Social Deviance, Intercultural Communications, but the one that I find most exciting is Environmental Sociology.
I have been part of the education field for over a decade and wake up every morning LOVING what I do! I have taught at both the high school level and the post-secondary levels. In my current role, I work for the federal TRiO program and work rigorously with high school students to build life skills, secure employment through development of business acumen, and ensure academic success through weekly mentorship and tutoring.
I possess a Masters Degree in Teaching and Learning with Technology from Ashford University along with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice from Wilmington University. I have taught classes as a guest instructor at Delaware State University in the area of resume building and job interview techniques.
