I am currently a substitute and after-school care teacher at New Deliverance Christian Academy. My responsibilities include providing children with a nutritious afternoon snack, helping with homework (Kindergarten-5th grade) and planning daily skills development activities. Some of those activities include: Arts & Crafts, STEAM, Drama, puzzles and floor games to enhance physical fitness. Before becoming a substitute and after-school care teacher, I used to be a lead preschool teacher for Bon Secours Family Center. In this job I gained more experience in time management, lesson plans and parent communication. My lessons were based around a thematic curriculum, so I also gained experience in planning educational activities based on monthly themes. Aside from the academic experience I gained through my years of childcare, I am also CPR certified and MAT (Medication Administration) certified.
