Before Covid-19, I was working at a Reggio-inspired preschool/daycare with little ones aged three months to four years, and loved every minute of it! With all of the uncertainty about when schools and daycares would reopen during COVID-19, I turned to nannying and realized that it’s an awesome way to keep doing what I love: I’m able to make better connections with the kids I take care of, as they get all of my attention vs having to split it among other children; I can create an environment specific to a child’s needs and interests, and parents can have a much more personal role in deciding how their child is cared for compared to a daycare setting. For the past year, I’ve been nannying full-time for a family with two boys (the oldest is four, and the youngest just turned two). They’re starting daycare soon, which is sad but exciting, Read more because it means I get the opportunity to get to know some new kiddos! I am comfortable with kids of all ages and infants as young as 12 weeks (and I love pets!). In my free time I draw/paint and spend time outside with my husky, Layla.
