Hello! My work began in college when during the summers I watched 2 school-aged children and engaged in activities, rides to the museum, park, and library. Over the years, I worked with youth athletes as a massage therapist. In the last year, I have had the rewarding opportunity to work with an autistic teenage boy with Down Syndrome - playing games, inside and outside, driving to activities and the store, light cooking, encouraging interaction with his siblings of varying ages, beginning with twin toddler brothers. I have also had the unique opportunity to help tutor a young girl from our parish community who has a learning disability. A large part of my experience in working with children over the last year, has been in helping lead our parish youth group in various indoor and outdoor activities, and working with another parish family of 8 children on their farm last season. Read more I have really enjoyed wholesome, artistic crafts, and the ability to be creative ! I also really enjoy domestic chores, and maximizing my time to help a family, essentially as a mother’s helper. I have all the necessary background checks complete because of my work in the church parish, per diocese regulations, and am currently certified in CPR, per my professional license.
