Hello! My name is Defne Selen and I'm from Chatham, NJ. I am a student at the University of Miami and will be a sophomore there this year! As an only child with two full-time working parents, I have always grown up alongside great nannies and babysitters and appreciated the fact that they were there for me as a great friend, role model, and make believe older sibling! With that being said, throughout my years of babysitting and nannying, I try to bring the same feeling to the kids I am watching ( especially since I truly believe I am a child at heart myself :) ). I have been babysitting since I was 14 years old, but throughout my last couple years of high school, I have had tons of experience nannying, driving, cooking, and having to do a lot more with the kids rather than just putting them Read more to bed. I have also worked the last 4 summers as a certified lifeguard at Fairmount Country Club, so I am both CPR and First Aid certified and also have good experience getting kids to listen to rules and controlling them from my time at the pool. In addition, I also have my own car with a clean driving record so I'm always available to drive to any activities or playdates that may be needed.
