My name is Alyssa and I’m 23 years old. I was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa. I went to davenport central high school where I participated in volleyball, basketball, and track. After graduations I went to kirkwood community college in Cedar Rapids where I played volleyball for 1 year, I went there for 2 years but I didn’t graduate to get my associates degree I will be working towards that in the near future. Ever since I was younger I’ve always babysat whether it be little cousins, nephew, family friends. I don’t know that it is about kids but something just draws me to them and vice versa. Seeing them at the store, the park, anywhere really for some reason there is always a kid running up to me, trying to talk to me, or even just smiling at me it’s like that literally everywhere I go and I Read more love it, it gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside. Knowing that you put a smile on a child’s face just makes you feel great about yourself. I mean seriously how can kids not brighten up your day. What makes me good at being a caregiver/babysitter is I’m a very friendly and easy going person, and I’m very understanding as well as realiable. Another thing is having patience, working with kids that is the one of the main things you must have to be able to even work in this profession period and that’s something I definitely have have especially with growing up with a younger sister and little cousins that definitely helped. It would be a dream of mine one day to open a daycare of my own.
