Hi, I'm Hannah! As a sibling of someone with autism, I guess you could say my experience with special needs started the day I was born. Being a caregiver was just one part of my day to day life. In the summer of 2017, I had the opportunity to work at Camp Royall, a year-round camp program run through The Autism Society of North Carolina, as a counselor and joined the year-round team in January 2018 as a fellow. Since then, I have worked as support staff for ASNC and am currently in IA in a K-2 autism classroom. From these experiences I have gained skills and knowledge in structure, communication , sensory integration and behavior management in a FUN recreational setting. I also have experience with elementary aged students from babysitting jobs beginning at 12 years and working at a YMCA after school program for 5 years during high Read more school/ part of college.
