I've worked with children from 9-18 years old. I've babysit children between the ages of 1-9 years old. I also have a child that I started to care for at 2 years old and now 6. Children are intelligent and they do pick up on negative body language, so I try to be relaxed and use an approachable tone. I don't like relying on screen time to entertain children, so I am extremely hands on. I think it's important that children have someone to play with, but that they also get their own monitored time. Four important things I try to instill in the children I care for: they are smart; they are strong; they are beautiful/handsome; and they are loved. Important that I provide an atmosphere for them to be free thinkers.
