I worked at Garfield Elementary School in Olympia during my junior year of undergrad as a work-study paraeducator. I assisted a first-grade teacher in lesson planning, test preparations, serving children with special needs, recess and lunch monitoring, and after school homework help for children with Spanish as a first language. I enjoy spending time with children and have a lot of patience and respect for the ways a child's curious and creative mind interacts in the world. I recently graduated from The Evergreen State College in June 2019 and am currently in a transition/taking a year off before seeking out my masters. I can say more about myself over the phone or in-person. I also took a Birth and Post Partum Doula training course at Bastyr University in which I received a certification.
