Hey.. my name is kendra, I am 18 years old. I just graduated high school in June. During my 4 years in high school I did over 100 hours of volunteering around children because I knew I couldn't get a paying job at that age and I wanted get experience for my futures career around childcare. During my freshman and sophomore year I taught German to 4th graders, basic stuff such as greetings, numbers, animals, foods, etc. my junior year I would walk over to the preschool during my free periods and volunteer in their classes, usually aging between 3-6 years old. Also during after school hours I tutored a girl who has special needs and needed help with social skills and school work. I've been babysitting forever and I've know my whole life I've wanted to have a career around kids, but because it's almost impossible to work with Read more kids when you're under 18 I have yet to have a real paying job. I know I'm capable and I've learned a lot of skills and patience over the years but I've gained so much joy and happiness in working with kids and I'd love to continue to do so..
