Greetings! My name is Brandy Mayfield, and I am hoping to find a family that desires one sitter/nanny for the duration of their little one(s)' childhood. From my background, I have witnessed how children respond better to having one caregiver, rather than multiple, and this positive response carries over into more a pleasant disposition and overall sense of well-being and security. My background is in education, and I have spent the last 20 years working as a certified teacher in 2 school districts in Southeast Texas. The 3 professional teaching positions that I have held are: elementary teacher responsible for teaching all subjects, middle school English and Reading teacher, or a Special Education teacher, responsible for teaching Writing, Language Arts, and Social Studies. I recently took some time off from teaching, because I have been taking care of a family member, battling cancer. I am now ready to be a Read more positive Influence in the lives of children, once again, and I feel that working as a nanny is an ideal position for me and my life. I am happy to help with homework, am trained to work with Special Needs children, am comfortable with animals so I can help with pet care, and I am not opposed to light housework and/or cooking.
