I come from a very diverse background. It has helped me be more culturally aware and expand on my critical thinking. Coming from a diverse home allowed me to learn different languages such as English, Swahili and four other African dialects. In addition, it has helped continuously improve on my communication and interpersonal skills. I am well coordinated, accurate, and have a keen eye for detail. I realized I loved children after taking care of my little sister and cousins. Children were drawn to me , as I was to them cause of their innocence. I have been known to calm babies down just by carrying them and easily interact with older kids. While in school, I was responsible for taking care of my 2 year old cousin on certain nights by making sure she was fed, bathed and rested I have the ability to ensure the safety of children.
