Hello, friends! My name is Maria and I have loved being around children since I can remember! I remember being a kid myself and wanting to take care of my baby cousins at family gatherings, plan activities/arts & crafts, and just play. I am a big kid at heart, so being around children and making their day better makes me happy and my day brighter as well. I graduated from The University of Texas in 2013 with a Bachelor's in Human Development and Family Sciences (concentration in Early Childhood Development). While there I worked in the lab school with preschool-age children. I now work at Wonders & Worries, a non-profit that helps children cope with a parent's illness. So, I have the privilege of working with young children as well as teens. They're the best and super sweet! For fun I enjoy baking, finding vegetarian recipes to cook (I'm a Read more bit of a wellness nerd/geek), yoga, dancing, being outside, slime and glitter jars are my favorite, journaling, and watercoloring. I can be a bit silly and a dork, but the children don't seem to mind! ;)
