Hello! My name is Wanderlin, I am a 20 year old female student at the University of Connecticut Hartford Campus. I have experience in childcare and do not mind pets at all, I love children and animals! My experience in children has come from working two summers at a summer day camp and babysitting jobs. The duties for the summer camp jobs included overall supervising the children, ensuring their experience was safe and fun, giving them lunch, cleaning up after them but encouraging them to help, encouraging use of the social skills they were taught, being a friendly presence they could talk to, acting as a role model, and assisting them in situations within my power and where it was appropriate. At the camp I worked specifically within the 8-9 and 10-12 age group. However, being that most of the time the groups were together in the camp's building and Read more on trips I interacted with younger children as well (as young as 5). I have also babysat infants and children for family members and neighbors and have helped care for my younger sister since I was 7. I love children and ensuring my time with them is fun, but also safe and productive! I have been trained in CPR and can absolutely still provide it in emergency situations but do need to renew my license and acquire a license for first aid, though I of course know basic first aid. I have not included a background check with this app, however if absolutely necessary I can provide one of course, but please refer to my references as they can vouch for my clean record, especially that of the summer day camp which I did a background check for and drug tests.
