Hi! My name’s Merritt, and I just graduated from UNC Chapel Hill in North Carolina this past May. I studied global studies and want to pursue education in the future! I love kids and have been a sitter since I was a kid myself! It is so rewarding to spend time with children and get to be a positive influence in their lives. The reason I love babysitting so much, is because I remember how much my babysitters meant to me as a child. I ADMIRED them! And thought they were the coolest ever. I also learned a lot from my babysitters and camp counselors. They led by example on how to be kind and inclusive to all, courageous when facing new challenges, and how to maintain an optimistic excitement about life. And also, how to just have fun! I love having the opportunity to be someone in a child’s Read more life that is not only guarding their safe keeping, but nurturing them educationally and emotionally. Throughout high school I always babysat around my local town, and I also volunteered as a counselor in training at a camp for kids ages 5-18 for two summers. After high school, I was hired to a full time daycare position at a high end club five/six days a week with children ages 0-13. Throughout college, I continued babysitting! It truly does take a village to raise great humans! Please reach out with any further questions. I am very flexible with my time and can maintain regular, long schedules with a family that feels I fit in well! I am also open to any last minute/part-time sitter availabilities. Thanks again! Looking forward to speaking soon!
