Greetings! My name is Chelsea. I am a Senior in college, attending California State Univeristy Northridge, pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice Studies w/ a minor in Psychology, and I am looking for part-time work as a babysitter/nanny. I do have an AA in Social/Behavioral Sciences, as well as an AS in Administration of Justice. Ultimately, I want to become a Juvenile Probation Officer. It is my passion working with children, seeing them grow, and most of all, helping them in need. Hence, why I want to go into the field of Corrections. I am very responsible, professional, empathic, trustworthy, nurturing, compassionate, energetic, and reliable. Above all, I am a mother of a very active 4 year old daughter, so I am always on my feet, runing around, interacting, and engaging with my child. I strongly believe in being active with kids while they’re young, since hands on activities Read more stimulate the brain and release tension/anxiety. I have been working with kids since I was 15 years old, babysitting/nannying between 2- 15 year olds. I enjoy outdoor activities such as playing sports, arts/crafts, going to the park, going to Chuck E Cheese, running errands etc. In addition, I have worked with children with disabilities, varying from ADHD to Bi-Polar Disorder to those on the Autism Spectrum. I am well-equipped to handling “tough” situations. I am also experienced in working with at risk youth, between the ages of 11-14, being a Mentor/Advisor. It was my responsibility to help integrate these kids back into the community, make sure they are maintaining their grades, reinforcing post-secondary education and mentoring these children throughout their time at the middle school level. In addition to watching your child(ren), I will do light cleaning, cooking etc. &will help your child(ren) with homework. I, myself, value education and understand how important it is, in order to be successful and prosperous throughout life. So, homework is priority. Lastly, and in the event of an emergency, I am CPR certified/ First Aid trained. I possess a clean driving record, and do not smoke, drink or do drugs. I look forward to meeting you and your family! Respectfully, Chelsea
