My mother ran a small daycare in our house while I was growing up.  I am the oldest of three and enjoyed having the responsibility of helping out.  I have been babysitting or nannying consistently for about 20 years, through both high school and college.  After college, I worked for two years in the infant room of a daycare center, which was hectic but fun. I earned my infant CPR and first aid certifications during my time there. A few of the parents even asked me for date night sitting because of the great relationships we formed!  I made the switch to working with individual families in their homes about ten years ago and have since nannied for six different families, some for over two years. I have great references available on request. I truly enjoy watching children learn and grow and feel so blessed to have worked with so Read more many great families.

We highly recommend Kara to care for your child/children. Kara began nannying for our daughter when she was 2 months old and has been so great. She is caring, compassionate, flexible, and reliable. Kara has helped keep our family and household running smoothly with the addition of a new baby. Also, and importantly, she really takes her job seriously which we appreciate. Our daughter loves her, and we will miss her.

Kara cared for our two boys (infant and preschooler) for several months. She was fantastic with both kids, and had a great rapport with them both. She was great at keeping our busy 3-year old entertained with trips to the library and walks in the neighborhood, and was equally great with the baby. We trusted her completely, and were disappointed to have to move and lose her services. We thoroughly recommend Kara!

Kara's been w/our family for about six months now and we would unconditionally recommend her to any family looking for some extra child care. We have three little one's under the age of 4, so our house is always very busy and Kara's been up to the challenge! She's professional, punctual, and shows up every day smiling. She's been great in accommodating our needs and often hectic schedule. Give her a call, you'll be glad you did.

Kara watched our 3 month old daughter part time while we were on a wait list at a local daycare. She was very comfortable with the baby, reliable, and trustworthy!

Kara nannied for us temporarily while we were on a daycare waitlist. She was very comfortable with our 3 month old and our 2 crazy dogs. She was reliable, down-to-earth, and trustworthy.

Kara has been our family's babysitter/nanny for the last 2 1/2 years. She is wonderful!! She began by watching our 18-month-old and then shortly after started watching both him and our newborn. The boys are now 2 and 4, and my 4-year-old is constantly asking me when she is coming back. Kara is able to come over very early in the morning when my husband has to leave early for work and stays throughout the day so I can sleep (I work night shift). When I do hear the boys, they are happy, and she is always very patient and kind with them (even when they throw tantrums!) She takes them to the park (weather-permitting) and the library all the time and they have a blast with her. She is very reliable and always on time. She is also very well-educated, and passes a great deal of knowledge onto our boys. We are moving in 4 months and I will be very sad to leave such a great sitter behind.
