Hello, my name is Cesaria and I'm 19 years old. My hobbies include reading, writing and going on hikes. I plan on becoming an elementary school teacher in the future and I enjoy working with children as I learn a lot from them and the way they see the world. My friends and family describe me as patient, loving and caring. Below I have listed some of my experience working with children. ➢ English Teacher In my sophomore year of high school I taught English at a middle school. I worked with a community development association every Saturday for six months from 9-11am. For the first month I assisted the teacher but afterwards I became the head teacher and my job consisted of coming up with engaging and interactive lesson plans as most of the kids were 8 to 13 years old. It was not only a learning experience for Read more the children but also a great learning experience for me as I was able to learn how to teach a classroom full of kids. ➢ Leader of Community Service group In my junior and senior years of high school I was elected as the student leader of a Community Service group called All Nations. All Nations is an orphanage that strives to give their children a brighter future. My responsibilities included coming up with fun activities for the kids, such as organizing soccer games, basketball games as well as creative activities such as arts and crafts, painting and music. I was fortunate enough to work with them for two years and was able to gain experience organizing and working with children. ➢ Summer Camp Counselor I am currently working at a summer camp as a camp counselor and have been working with children aged 5 to 9. My job requires that I come up with fun activities for the kids and that I keep them engaged in the classroom and make sure that they are safe during recreation. ➢ Babysitting I have experience babysitting for family friends and have babysit kids aged 9 to 15.
