About Nana Yaa

I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology with a minor in chemistry and teaching certificates in grade 6-12 chemistry & social science, and am currently pursuing a master's degree in school counseling. I have a strong background in chemistry and psychology, but I am also capable of assisting with math up to pre-calculus, as I completed up to Calculus II at Iowa. Other courses I have completed and consider myself comfortable with include physics, introductory biology, and sociology. Prior to leaving Iowa, I tutored an 11th grader in chemistry and pre-calculus. I also have experience tutoring college students in introductory chemistry courses, and as an undergraduate teaching assistant in developmental psychology. I have been practicing my instruction skills since high school as a Physics peer tutor and tutored a few foreign exchange students after school for a government class. I understand the value of additional study and support, and hope to help students finish their courses strong!
