About Michele

My passion is education and lifelong learning. I believe everyone has the potential to learn anything they desire. I am a lifetime certified teacher with a an MEd and an MLS. I use a multi-sensory teaching approach, in addition to the traditional methods of tutoring, to help students of every ability. My customized approach is designed to build on each students' strengths while working on the areas of difficulty. Professionally, I have 15 years of experience teaching at the elementary and middle school (K-8) level, five years as a children's librarian and over a decade of tutoring. I especially enjoy working with children with special needs or below grade level, in the areas of reading, math, science and technology. The greatest joy in my work is seeing a student break through challenges and have those moments of understanding. In addition to tutoring I also offer pet care, senior care and assistance to busy families.
