About Angela

With 15+ years experience as a home school teacher, substitute teacher, a tutor, and a primary classroom teacher in both public and private schools, I held certification in Tennessee in English (7 - 12) and Special Education (K - 12). At one time or another, I have taught all grades K - 12. Also, I have experience with one-on-one and group tutoring and conducting successful ACT prep classes. In a college prep school, I taught grammar, writing, literature, reading comprehension, and vocabulary for grades 7 - 12. Electives such as Journalism, Biblical Literature, college writing, and publications were also taught by me. In public school, I taught PASS (gifted) classes for 5th graders, reading resource (SPED) for grades K - 3, and worked in conjunction with the primary teacher in an inclusion classroom. Tutoring younger than high school has been for all subjects. I last tutored in 2014. My MA in Education was awarded in 2005 from APSU; I obtained a BA in English from MTSU in 1983.
