I started caring for people over 20 years ago. Throughout my life's journey I always seem to come back to caregiving. I worked at the VA hospital here in Asheville for 21 years. Working in the nursing home is where I realized that my passion was caring for people in need of assistance, I've taken care of quadriplegics and paraplegics as well as dementia patients. All I can say is that this is my calling to care for anyone elderly who is in need of support attention and love. I have worked for several families which has given me outstanding letters of recommendations. 1) Cared for dementia wife for whom the husband could no longer care for. After her passing, I remained on with him the husband until till his passing in total of 3 years. 2) Cared for another lady with dementia until her passing. She lived with her daughter but needed help with her while she worked outside the home. I year. Currently with another client for over a year now.
