I have helped them get around & assisted them in the bathroom, and with bathing. One thing that sets me apart from others, is that I enjoy listening them talk about their life & share their stories with me. As a cosmetologist, I have all the right tools to boost their moral by washing & styling their hair, as well as doing nails & what not. As our elders age, they begin to "lose" their friends. I think it's important they have a companion who they know won't pass away any time soon. I am fully vaccinated. I do not smoke and am comfortable with animals. I am BSL, CPR, and first aid certified.

We hired Whitney to sit with my elderly mother who was having some strength and mobility issues so that I could continue at my job knowing my mom was safe at home. I teach nursing so my schedule is variable with some long days and some early clinical mornings. I work about 30 minutes from my home and I carpool, so I need to be able to walk out the door the moment my ride arrives. My mom requires breathing treatments and has some swallowing problems and some days she feels better than others. I needed someone I could feel comfortable leaving my mom with on the good days as well as on the days when things weren't going quite as well; Whitney has satisfied that need for our family. Whitney is kind, responsible, and dependable. My mom enjoys her company and my mom's cat is even delighted when she arrives. We could not be happier with Whitney's work, and we are grateful to have connected with her on Care.com.
