About Wendy

Experienced working with seniors/adults in their home, hospital, clinic and group home settings with the requisite training and certifications required. I am passionate about helping others achieve as much independence as possible while regarding their safety, privacy and dignity. For me, being a caregiver is not just about performing assigned tasks as per one's training. Anybody can be trained to assist with ADLs, light housekeeping, transporting or providing transportation and other day to day functions necessary. However, nobody can be trained to love, genuinely care and empathize with persons who may require additional assistance perpetually. To be an effective caregiver, is to give exceptional care always: not when the care seeker is having a good day or is being agreeable, not when I am having a good day but at all times. While I have worked with adults and children of varying ages, I am particularly passionate about caring for the elderly and the special needs community.
