I started a small senior care boarding home back in the early 90's. I just have a passion for seniors, being raised by my great-aunt who was a senior citizen. She passed in 1990. Then I sold my home and moved in with my biological mother in 1993 who I have solely taken care of because she had a lot of health issues. I did everything for her took care of all all her personal care needs, as well as ran errands, paid her bills for her, etc. She recently suffered a massive stroke in July 2013 and passed away August 14, 2013. She was in the hospital for 35 days. So this is why I'm so passionate about helping seniors because I've dedicated my life to caring for the elderly. I've been doing this for well over 35 years and have the hands-on experience and the compassion for working with seniors and the elderly. I do meal preparation, medications, shopping, light cleaning, and running errands, etc. Whatever needs to be done, I will go above and beyond to get the job done. I am also very good at multitasking. I'm single with no children, so my schedule is very flexible. I can work overtime as needed. I feel that this is the career path that God has chosen for me and wants me to do. I just recently graduated on June 25, 2014. I'm now a CHHA. I'm also i n the process of obtaining my certifications in the following areas; First Aid, CPR, AED, Childcare. I can start ASAP or immediately. Allow me the opportunity of giving your loved one the care and compassion that they deserve as a CHHA.
