About Teri

I'd describe my personality as patient, calm, caring. I like caring for seniors because I miss my grandparents. They lived into their 90s and needed a lot of help. I saw what a great advantage it was to have good people help care for them to give me and my parents a break. I want to help pay that forward. I'm looking for a job where I can relieve the family and normal caregivers at night. I started caring for seniors when I was in college. Since then I've helped care for all of my grandparents as well as my in laws and also my own parents. I've learned so many things and life lessons from this great older generation. It keeps me cognizant of what is important and helps me stay humble and appreciative of my blessings. My skills include cooking, companionship and security. I like to make my "patients" feel relevant, heard and comfortable. I like to get them engaged in tasks such as working puzzles, watching game shows, tasting new cuisine, bible study or watching old movies.
