My experience caring for older adults started in 2012 as an activities assistant in a special care/memory support neighborhood at a nursing home. A lot of times the older generations have a tendency to be overlooked and underappreciated, but I truly believe in their importance. I absolutely love working with adults who need memory support and think it is important to meet the person where they are, to become a part of their reality with kindness and patience. I love to engage in their stories, value music and how it stimulates memory, and am able to think creatively about new ways to enjoy activities a person used to enjoy but no longer thinks they are able to do. I would love to be a part of your loved ones life!
